How To Build The Perfect Girls' Day Out in Fort Worth
Updated: Apr 6
Hey, y'all! I'm Brittany, Dallas Love List's Social Media Director, and to celebrate my birthday, I am taking over the blog this week! I live in Dallas, but if you know me, you know I love an outing to Fort Worth as often as I can make it happen! Use this list to build the perfect girls' day in Fort Worth.

1. patio drinks at birdie's

Birdie's Social Club has a great stage for live music, their outdoor seating is plentiful, and the Happy Hour deals are pretty legit, too. Wednesday through Friday from 3-7 p.m., grab $3 domestic brews and wells while listening to some local live music and enjoying the springtime breeze in the air.
2. second rodeo brewing

This sprawling brewhouse and beer garden is the perfect place to catch a little live music in the Stockyards and do some laid-back day-drinking! Second Rodeo has an IMMENSE selection of beers, great cocktail options and a menu full of munchies that perfectly accompany the country-rock vibe all around you.
3. brunch at 97 west

97 West, the AMAZING restaurant inside Hotel Drover, is our favorite spot for a meal in the Stockyards. Start brunch with a Paloma or Cucumber Mint Mule, don't skip the Hot Chicken & Biscuits and keep the Apple Churro Pancakes coming, friends.
4. dinner at gemelle

Everything is fresh and fun at Gemelle, an incredibly fun Euro-American pizza and pasta spot near the Trinity River. It's quirky and contemporary, they've got bocce ball courts, and their garden-inspired patio is so cute! Take photos in front of the LOVE sign and make sure you get a couple orders of their fried baby artichokes to accompany your meal — they're so addictive!
5. candle-making at worthy co.

At Worthy Co.'s Candle Studio, you and your friends select your favorite fragrance and vessel, then learn the steps to pour your own custom candle. Each class is about an hour long and includes an additional half hour of private shopping time in their retail space where you get 20% off your entire haul of goodies!
6. dancing at billy bob's

Texas biggest honky-tonk is an essential stop as we're crafting the perfect day in Fort Worth. Even on days when there's not a national act on the main stage, the dancing, bull-riding and people-watching is elite here. They've also got something new going at Billy Bob's in the 81 Club, where they hold events like the Lone Star Murder Mystery Dinner and Show.
7. shopping at flea style

Did you know? You and your crew can design your own hats to commemorate this very special day in Fort Worth at Flea Style. You can also explore their selection of scarves, pins, bling, playing cards, vintage matchbooks, feathers, dried florals and more at their Stockyards location on Exchange Avenue!
8. cocktails at sidesaddle saloon

This is the perfect cocktail bar, hidden in Mule Alley. Their daily Happy Hour is 3-7 p.m., and its the perfect mix of modern chic and Old West. Whether you're sipping on beer in a can and munching on pork rinds or you're in the mood for something on the craft cocktail side (try their "Beth Dutton," which is a past winner at the Fort Worth Food & Wine Fest), you'll fit right in here.
9. breakfast at mamaka bowls

If you're dreaming of the beach but are currently landlocked in Fort Worth, Mamaka Bowls has you covered. Let them transport you seaward with their delicious and refreshing smoothies and smoothie bowls! Try the Pura Vida with an additional pineapple topper and thank us later. They make a mean tater-tot breakfast taco, too!
10. photo ops down inspiration alley

Inspiration Alley is the MOST Gram-worthy spot in Funkytown, which puts it high up there for most Instagrammable spot in all of DFW. We love it here. When your feed needs a face lift, this hidden alleyway in the Foundry District is covered in murals — and it's THE spot to hit! Almost every inch is covered in a unique design or mural. The colors, patterns and pictures give you a million photo ops in one!
