Late-night drinks

armoury DE

There's no place in town quite like Armoury DE. Got a craving for some delicious Hungarian food? Or, more likely, have you never even tried Hungarian food? There's no time like the present, especially when that particular craving strikes after-hours as you traipse the streets of Deep Ellum. They've got free live music on the weekend, their patio is as cute as can be, and the kitchen don't close 'til 1:45 a.m., every day of the week.

pete's dueling piano bar

Sing along at the top of your drunken lungs to the dueling piano show where your tips decide the next song! Pete's Dueling Piano Bar has locations at The Star in Frisco and near Sundance Square in Fort Worth, and it is a TON of fun, every time. Whether you’re making fun weekend plans or celebrating a special occasion, you’ll have a blast at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar!

double D's

It's all love at Double D's in the Design District. For yummy cocktails, dope DJs and some of the best bar staff in town, it's one of our favorite spots to be for last call. They've got whiskey highballs, palomas and Pimm's Cup on tap, which is always clutch when you need to squeeze in one more drink order at the end of the night. But the frozen mezcal mangonadas are our fave here, for sure.

late-night Happy hour

west jax cigar lounge

For late-night Happy Hour specials in Fort Worth, no place does it like West Jax in the Medical District. They've got the 5-6-7 on lock down — $5 for select beers, $6 wells and $7 for select glasses of wine from 11p.m. - 2 a.m. Start or end your night here with a premium cigar, a craft cocktail, music, and good vibes! This classy cigar lounge will blow you away with its stunning decor, friendly bartenders, and amazing cocktails — trust us, you'll want to stay for a while!

on rotation

Lemmon Avenue's On Rotation Brewery is one of our faves for their small-batch brews and eclectic tap list. In addition to the beer, cider, and hard seltzer they have on tap, On Rotation also offers a pretty bang-up cocktail program, with drinks crafted from their own house hard seltzer Metafizzics.

LATE-NIGHT EATS

Cheba hut

Cheba Hut is our favorite 420-themed sando shop, in large part because they sling those delish toasted subs until midnight. They have locations in Fort Worth, in Deep Ellum and in Denton, and a fourth location on Preston is in the works, too. Each sandwich is inspired by a cannabis strain, so pick your fave flavor or try something new! We loved the Dank and the Papalolo subs! Even without any THC, this food had us on a high!

zalat pizza

Ah, the greatness of Zalat. It's one of the most inventive pizza delivery menus ever conceived, and it hits the spot EVERY TIME, no matter which of the 18 DFW locations you're ordering from. Just hook that Srirancha dipping sauce TO OUR VEINS, y'all. We love the pesto veggie, the hot chicken pizza, the buffalo chicken pizza and even the off-the-wall Elote pizza. It is soooo cool that the owner gives everyone employed at the company full benefits, including access to a 401K, too. Thumbs up, all the way around.

sfuzzi

The delectable full menu may shut down at 11 p.m. at Sfuzzi on Henderson, but the pizza menu is available as long as the bar is open, until 2 a.m., every day of the week. We currently fixate on their Breakfast pizza with 24-hour ages prosciutto, bacon, cherry tomatoes and a sunny-side up egg on top, as well as their Hot Honey, with its spicy sopressata sitting atop fresh mozzarella.

shug's bagels

Sure, most folks know Shug's on Mockingbird as an amazing hangover cure, there with something starchy, substantial and spicy to soak up all the pain from the previous night's frivolity. But Tuesday-Saturday they also operate an after-hours bagel bop until 2 a.m. Shug's has TONS of flavor combinations from the type of bagel, to the variations of cream cheese! Not to mention all the add-ons that make the perfect bagel stack to kick your morning off right or to keep you going at night.

old hag's pizza & Pasta

There are two Old Hags in the Dallas area — wait. We suppose there may be a few more than that in the general sense, but there ARE two locations of Old Hag's Pizza & Pasta — one in Oak Cliff and one in Lewisville. The Lewisville location is a night owl's dreamscape — open 24 hours a day for the occasion when you find yourself in need of some of the good grease at 4 or 5 a.m. Try "The Conspirator" if you dare — it comes with a quadruple serving of cheese and requires two pizza box linings to contain the grease grenade.

dalat

Everything is bright and beautiful at Dalat Vietnamese Kitchen on Fitzhugh — we just love visiting this spot. They have so many cool and unconventional menu items to go along with some of the best Pho in town, too! Try their Bahn Mi Tacos, their Dorito-viche, their Dalat spicy pork shooters and their super-popular Dalat Rolls, which are egg rolls rolled up inside spring rolls. And as a bonus for all you night owls, they are open until 2 a.m. on weekends!

serious pizza

The original Serious Pizza location in Deep Ellum will forever be one of our favorite haunts in the whole of Dallas, for sentimental reasons as much as for ENORMOUS PIZZA reasons. There are now also Serious location in Fort Worth and in Grand Prairie, so get you some ASAP, wherever you are! You can smell the goodness from a block or two away, at least. Serious is the best place to soak up a night of boozing with a floppy slice of 'za or a 30-inch feast for the whole crew.

E-Bar Tex Mex

For great Tex Mex late in Uptown, make E-Bar your go-to. The trendy restaurant is open until 1 a.m. Thursday-Saturday and midnight Sunday-Wednesday. They've got you covered with great margaritas, swirls and Mexican martinis to go along with cheesy enchiladas, great tacos and Tex Mex classics on the grill when you need to interrupt your bar crawl to get something solid in your stomach.

Greenville Ave. Pizza Co.

Feel the love at Greenville Avenue Pizza Co., where they're serving up some of the best pie in town! It's true scratch pizza at Greenville Avenue, with a variety of house-made sauces and a thin-crust backbone to the pies. We love both the Pesto Sciutto and the 5-cheese varieties.

Late Night Sweets

Insomnia Cookies

Late-night cookie craving? Insomnia Cookies in Victory Park is open until 3 a.m., AND they deliver! They've got great-tasting gluten free options, and you can add ice cream or a buttercream or cream cheese icing "dipper" to your order to make the ULTIMATE dessert.

Late-night activities

Plano Super Bowl

Girls bowl for free on Tuesdays at this 24-hour Bowlarama in Plano! Seriously, Plano Super Bowl has some of the BEST bowling deals in town. Each game is only $2 during select hours, which include late night Sundays from 9 p.m. - 3 a.m.! This is the perfect place for all your deep-night bowling party needs.

cidercade

The Dallas Design District plays host to one of our favorite haunts known to mix a good drink with a great dose of arcade-style nostalgia. We love the Cidercade, and so will you! They have expanded with location in Fort Worth and will soon open one in Arlington, but the original is one of the spots on this list we keep going back to. $10 admission gets you unlimited play on more than 140 arcade machines, and frequent flyers can save even more money by signing up for a $15 monthly membership.

electric shuffle

Shuffleboard is a game of precision. A subtle touch or tap can swing the result from a win to a loss, or vice versa. But you've never seen shuffleboard quite like they do it at Electric Shuffle in Deep Ellum. When you walk in, the industrial-style bar will immediately catch your eye. But the gameplay will keep you coming back for more. The digital interactive gameplay was developed by literal rocket scientists. Be sure to reserve your spot on their website if you plan to slide ye olde weights!

Dancing at te deseo

La Terraza Rooftop Lounge sits atop one of our favorite Latin food spots in the Harwood District, Te Deseo. And it is one of our favorite places in Dallas to go dancing. La Terazza at Te Deseo is an elevated destination with irresistible energy lasting well into the night. Dance the night away and enjoy bottle service every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night starting at 9 p.m.

Late-night hang

thunderbird station

We LOVE this come-as-you-are joint for its wide open patio, its delightful bar bites and the fact that you can get out of there without dipping into your 401K. They not only have Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m. on weeknights, they also have a great Reverse Happy Hour Sunday-Friday from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m. For Happy Hour, enjoy $5 Peelouts, their insanely good Push-Up Pop-inspired orange, vanilla and vodka drink that freezes time and drinks like a dream, $3 frosty mug domestics and $3 Lil' Buddies, which are perfect for when Happy Hour (or Reverse Happy Hour) means SHOT TIME!

wild detectives

Wild Detectives is a Bishop Arts bookstore/bar/venue, and it is one of the coolest spots in town, let alone in its South Dallas neighborhood. Share ideas and hang out smartly with books and booze — it's one of the most intelligent drink menus for miles. Curl up in a comfy spot with an espresso old fashioned ($12.50), made with Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters espresso. Or for a little brain food, their empanadas ($4.50) are pretty legit as well.
