Everyone knows the State Fair of Texas is THE spot to be when it comes to Fall in Dallas. From the wild rides to the deep fried and delicious food on every corner, stuffed animal prizes from a selection of games and everything else that comes along with the biggest and best State Fair in Texas! We know going to the fair is worth every penny, but if you're looking to pinch a few this year, we've got you covered with all of the State Fair of Texas discounts by day of week, and other ways to save at the 2021 State Fair.





1.$15 TICKETS MONDAY-THURSDAY

Know you're hitting the fair on a weekday? Make sure to snag an adult one-day admission ticket for only $15 and the kiddos and seniors are only $10! *Note these are only valid on pre-selected dates*


2.GET A $50 SEASON PASS

If you are a fair fanatic then this is your best bet for saving some extra cash this season! Don't limit your fair experience to just a day or weekend and get a season pass to unlock 24-days of admission and special VIP benefits!


3.GET THE WHOLE GANG TOGETHER AND GET A GROUP RATE

Whether you're looking for an after work event with coworkers, have extended family in town or a group of at least 25 people, then you can qualify for a discounted group rate and save up to 55% off admission tickets!


4. GET $ OFF WHEN YOU PURCHASE AT KROGER

Buy your tickets in advance at Kroger and receive $3 off premium one-day admission tickets or $5 off your season passes and can be bought starting on September 1st!


5. CHECK YOUR MCDONALDS MEAL BAGS FOR FAIR COUPONS

Head to a North Texas McDonalds throughout fair season and you may be pleasantly surprised to find fair coupons on your tray liners or inside your meal bag! You could find $5 off weekdays and $7 off weekends!


6. MILITARY DISCOUNTS

Any and all active military, retired military and veterans save $5 on weekdays and $7 on weekends! Just make sure to bring documentation when purchasing your tickets. Military spouses and children also will receive a discounted admission!


7. FIRST RESPONDER DISCOUNTS

First responders, make sure to bring your badge or ID card when purchasing tickets to recieve $5 off weekday admission and $7 off weekend admission. (Plus- up to 3 family members will also get a discounted ticket!)


8. HIT THE FAIR ON A WEEKDAY AFTER 5

Save a few bucks when you hit the fair on a weekday after 5pm. You will receive a child's price for your ticket- no matter your age!


9. MAKE YOUR TRIP TO THE FAIR ON A TUESDAY OR THURSDAY

Dr. Pepper value days are every Tuesday and Thursday where you can get an admission ticket for ONLY $10! You have to be a Big Tex Insider to get this discount so make sure to sign up here.


10. DONATE PEANUT BUTTER + SAVE

Get your admission ticket for only $10 at the gate when you bring 2 jars of peanut butter to donate to the North Texas Food Bank! Giving to a good cause and a good discount? Yes please!


11. BRING YOUR CANS ON WEDNESDAYs for $5 admission

Get your admission ticket for only $5 when you bring FIVE cans to donate to North Texas Food Bank on Wednesdays!


12. SENIORS GET $5 ADMISSIONS ON THURSDAYS

Thursday is the day for Senior Discounts, and a great day for the family to go. Make sure to stop by on Thursdays when seniors get admission for only $5!


13. ask your kiddos

Did you know some kiddos will get free admission tickets from school? Make sure to double check if you have kiddos at home or ask a friend who may not be using them!


14. TAKE THE DART

Skip paying $20 to park at the fair and take the Dart! You can get off at either the Fair Park Station or the MLK Jr. Station. Many of the DART stops offer park and ride, so pick a stop on the green line and then hop the train the rest of the way! Easy peasy.


15. TAKE PART IN THRIFTY THURSDAYS

During Thrifty Thursdays, select vendors have their signature menu items at a reduced price so you can enjoy all the fabulous food the fair has to offer on a budget!
