You don't have to go out of town to go all out for Mardi Gras. Dallas is holding it down this year with some spectacular revelry and great events to make this Carnival Season one to remember in Big D.


1. The Rustic // Mardi Craw

Bring your appetite for mudbugs and live tunes to The Rustic's Mardi Craw event! Mark your calendars for March 1, when live music, special Mardi Gras drink specials and a giant crawfish boil take over the grounds for the night!


2. MARDI GRAS BAR CRAWL

Check out the above links for all the deets! The epic Dallas Mardi Gras Bar Crawl is back, babay, and this year we are ready to go for Sat., Feb. 19. The crawl will kick off at roughly 3 p.m. at Playground Bar Uptown. Come turn Dallas into Bourbon Street for a day and enjoy a festive day of green, purple and gold before all the colors start to run together! This is a ticketed event, and the $22 tickets come with beads, beads and more beads, plus the ability to avoid any cover charges at participating bars that day.


3. FUNKTOWN DONUTS

Stop by Funkytown Donuts in Fort Worth anytime in the next several weekends and try their take on the famous King Cake. Adorned with a heavy glaze and decorative sugar in the green, gold and purple Mardi Gras tradition, these iced wonders personify the decadence of the season and delight the taste buds at the same time.


4. MARDI GRAS OAKCLIFF PARADE

What says Mardi Gras better than an old fashioned parade through the streets? Mark Sun., Feb. 27 on your calendar. The parade will start marching at 4 p.m., and the route runs along Davis Street from Nova, near the Kessler Theater, into the heart of Bishop Arts. Crowds for recent Mardi Gras parades have been estimated at near 10,000 spectators, so get there early and get acquainted with all Oak Cliff has to offer!


5. IT'S Mardi Gras Y'ALL // LEGACY HALL

Bring your whole krewe for this fabulous fete on Feb. 26 with live jazz music all day and a headlining performance from the Big A$$ Brass Band from 8-10 p.m. In the afternoon, enjoy a performance from the Unfaded Brass Band followed by a blend of New Orleans, Cuban and Haitian rhythms from Terence Bradford and Congo Square. Eat all the crawfish and King Cakes and drink all the hurricanes the moment calls for, at this fun indoor/outdoor Plano mainstay.


6. MARDI GRAS MASQUERADE // OAK CLIFF BREWING COMPANY

📍Dallas, TX

Oak Cliff Brewing is having their own ticketed Mardi Gras Masquerade event at the taproom, and it sounds like a hoot. Tickets are $75, but they include beer, wine light bites and access to the live Brass Band music! The party goes off Friday, Feb. 25 from 7-11 p.m.


7. COPELANDS OF New Orleans // King Cake
