6 THINGS TO DO IN VICTORY PARK RIGHT NOW // A DAY GUIDE

Updated: Oct 8, 2021

When in Dallas you may find yourself exploring Victory Park, the area surrounding the American Airlines arena and the home of the Dallas Mavs and Stars. Whether you are catching a concert, basketball game, shopping the neighborhood, or simply trying one of their many trendy restaurants there is so much to do (and eat)!

Victory Park is TRULY the pinnacle of Dallas Culture with something for everyone of all ages to enjoy! Since the options are robust, we decided to pick some of our favorites for a full day in the area so you won’t miss out on the best of the best! Make sure you start the day with an empty stomach and bring some friends to help you take the coolest Insta pics because this guide has all the food and photo ops.

BRUNCH AT Mesero

Start your Victory Park tour with brunch at Mesero! Sit on the patio for that ideal summer sunlight and jam to their fun playlist of Spanish hits while you wait for your drinks and food! They’ve got breakfast tacos, avocado toast, French toast and more! Not to mention they all pair perfectly with their brunch cocktails and margaritas. Our favorite brunch items are easily the Chilaquiles if you are looking to try something authentic, or the avocado toast because too much avocado toast is never enough avocado toast!

EXPLORE THE Sweet Tooth Hotel

One of the most insta-worthy spots in town, this art installation is sweeeet! Being totally immersive, a brand new exhibit just opened titled, “Intangible, A Fiber Fairytale,” where some of the top fiber artists in the US are displayed and installations are presented with over 2 million feet of yarn. Experience fiber art throughout the entirety of your visit and get a boost of self care while you’re at it because tactile art is known to help with stress relief and overall mental health. We love a self care moment! Not to mention you end your tour at their bar where you can get all the pink drinks topped with rock or cotton candy.

SUSHI AT IMOTO

After a long afternoon of viewing art at the Sweet Tooth Hotel, sushi lovers rejoice and grab happy hour at Imoto! With $6 glasses of wine, $7 cocktails, AND a full bites menu, this is the perfect spot to take a break, browse through your photos from the stop before and start that buzz before you dive into dinner! The sushi bar has a modern feel with house music bopping as you check out the dinner, sushi, cocktail and wine menu. Try out their Texas Wagyu Traditional Hot Rock and “Dragon Style” Shishito Peppers if you love spicy. Those are for sure our happy hour favorites!

DINNER AT Billy Can Can Saloon

When it comes to dinner, prepare yourself for a true country saloon experience with an elegant twist! Enjoy a steak, pork chop, venison or other saloon-themed option as you indulge in the vivacious ambiance! This spot will make you feel like you’re in the modern Wild West if you try one of their many aromatic cocktails like the Majordomo, complete with rhum clément cask collection, carpano botanic bitter, rouge vermouth, banana OR opt for one of their liquor flights. Choose your fighter: whiskey or bourbon? Whatever you choose as your main course and drink, you can’t forget about the sides and call us dramatic but their potato puree is some of the best in town!

A SWEET TREAT FROM sift and pour

Nothing like ending a day on the town with something sweet! After all the fab food from the day, make sure to save room for Sift and Pour, where gourmet Rice Krispies treats, cookies and brownies are calling your name! Too full to indulge? Come back later with a group of friends and sign up for one of their themed cookie decorating classes ranging from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Hamilton and MORE! There is also a huge selection of make your own kits or variety boxes for you to take home and try later! We love all the options!

A NIGHT CAP FROM burgundy swine

The day is almost over and you can’t complete your day successfully without a glass of wine from Burgundy Swine. Sit on the perfectly lit patio and order their speciality, a wine tower! Choose 3 different kinds of wine and build a customized bottle in tower form, giving you the ability to try multiple! The wine menu is amazing and promises something for everyone in your group, with selections from well known wine growing regions of the world such as France, Italy, Spain, and California but also emerging regions from Portugal, Australia, South America, Mexico and, yes, Texas!
