We want your help curating new City Love List instagram feeds! We have big big news that we've been working on now for a few months. As of today, we are launching a new photo portal where we will buy your images for $25 per picture with a goal of launching several new Love List cities in 2020 and 2021! There is no limit to the number of photos you can submit, nor is there a limit to the number we will buy.

At the beginning of the year, I sat down with my husband (and co-owner of City Love List) and outlined a few target cities we would focus on for a launch in 2020. We planned trips to visit, and were even able to get to a few of those cities in January, February and early March. Then COVID happened and obviously all of our plans came to a screeching halt.
We have enough content for these cities to launch, but not to run a consistent feed. This is where you guys come in. First and foremost, we are looking to purchase pictures in select cities. Second though, we are also looking for brand ambassadors who live in those cities to help us run these pages.
So, first up, let's chat about what we're looking for as far as images go.
HOW TO GET YOUR PHOTO CHOSEN BY THE LOVE LIST TEAM
Photos are WITHOUT A DOUBT the most important element of a Love List instagram page. When I launched Dallas Love List in June 2016, I launched with a goal of having the most beautiful, striking instagram feed that immediately made you want to follow along and visit every place we posted.
Although I do use a DSLR for many images in the feed, I also use my iPhone often. It's more about the eye for snapping a unique, cool photo, rather than the equipment used to snap it.
We will not be buying all of the images submitted, so here are a few tips on getting your photos chosen for purchase.
The picture needs to be clear, well lit and sharp.
The food needs to be uneaten, unless it's part of telling the photos story like a cheese pull or a single bite out of a donut.
We're more likely to choose vertical over horizontal photos
Colorful images are very on brand for Love List
The photo needs to be unedited when submitted
What's likely to get chosen
Shots of interiors - for example beautiful restaurant interiors, shots of the bar area, hotel lobby that are striking
Food Images that tell a story (hands reaching for something on the table, a sauce being poured on a dish)
Food that is wildly unhealthy - aka #FoodPorn - donuts, ice cream, pizza, over the top desserts, cheese fries, nachos
Colorful murals
Skyline images
Flowers or cactus shots
Images unique to the city you're submitting for
Cocktails
Any and all BEACH / BEACH CITY 🏖 images including food, drinks, sunsets, sunrises, light houses, rivers, lakes... yada yada yada 💦🏝 If it's on or near a beach, we want it!
Upon submitting, we will e-mail you within 5 business days if we'd like to purchase your image. If you don't hear from us, we've passed on that picture but feel free to continue to submit more!
Then the second thing we're looking for...
Becoming a Love List Brand Ambassador
We don't have a ton of requirements here, since we haven't had a designated brand ambassador for any of our cities yet. We are looking for someone who obviously takes beautiful photos but more importantly has a passion for the city they live in. This is someone who {pre-covid} was out and about almost every single night doing something fun in their city.
Our Brand Ambassadors will also have a passion (obsession??) for social media, including Tik Tok and Instagram. Strong writing skills and a sense of humor also a requirement!
