Struggling to find dad the perfect gift for Father's Day this year? We've curated a a list of Dallas inspired Father's Day activities and gifts that will make this holiday the most memorable one yet. From sporting events, to cigars, dad approved restaurants and more, we have rounded up some of our favorites.
We even included activities for the dog dads in your life! So don't worry about a last minute shopping trip to the same old stores to get dad a new tie, we've got you covered!
1. Take him to a ball game at the new Rangers stadium
The new Globe Life Park just opened in 2020 and now has a retractable roof so you don’t have to worry about melting away in the summer Heat! If your dad is a sports guy, grab him some tickets to enjoy a cold beer, some peanuts and a day out in Arlington.
2. Book a bay at TopGolf
A tee time may just be the way to your dad’s heart, but include the whole family and book a bay at TopGolf! It’s the perfect spot to have the whole family out and about to golf, eat, drink and play! If your Sunday is already crammed with Father’s Day activities, then get a giftcard so you can go together another time, bcause dad deserves to be celebrated more than just 1 day a year.
3. Treat him to a manly massage
Did you know that most spas offer specific treatments just for men? Pamper dad with a massage, pedicure, scrub or facial this Father’s Day. Some of our favorites are the Adolphus spa which offers a full men’s manicure and pedicure, or the Hotel Crescent Court which has an array of men's services like their Gentlemans Scrub. The scrub is designed to increase circulation and purification with body brushing, exfoliation, therapeutic oils and mud. You can also just get him a classic Swedish Massage at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas, because sometimes a basic massage is all he needs.

4. Head to TeXas LIVE to watch the US Open
If your dad plans to park himself on the couch this weekend to binge the US Open golf tournament, then take him to Texas Live for a change of scenery. This MASSIVE sports bar in Arlington has plenty of tvs, lots of beer and great food for you and dad to have a day out of the house watching (literally) every sport on.
5. Grab a beer and play some trivia at Four Corners
Looking for something more casual? Head to trivia at Four Corners Brewery Co where dad can grab a beer, play trivia on Sundays and also get a free tour of the brewery! Trivia starts at 5pm every Sunday and is hosted by Geeks Who Drink. They run one of the best trivia contests in town.
6. For the Dog Dads: Grab a beer and play with your pup at Mutts
Fur babies count too! For all the dog dads out there, Mutts is the perfect spot to bring your pup and celebrate. Mutts is an outdoor dog park and bar. They have beer, frozen margaritas, cocktails and food, so you can spend a whole afternoon with a drink in hand letting your doggo run around!
7. Indulge in Texas BBQ at Terry Black’s
Give dad a break from cooking and take him to Terry Blacks in Deep Ellum. This barbecue spot is a Dallas favorite and the perfect spot to spend the afternoon. We love their meats but even more their mac n cheese, cream corn and banana pudding for dessert! Get a Black's $5 frozen margarita, it is fantastic.
8. Buy him some cigars at Cigar Art
Grab dad and head to Bishop Arts to have him pick out his favorite cigars, or treat him to a few and get him a cigar flight! Cigar Art specializes in boutique and family-owned cigars. They also deliver within 7 miles so they can bring the cigars right to your door!
9. Treat him to a steak OR PORK CHOP at Perry’s Steakhouse
If you want a fancier experience where dad can get a bottle of wine and a filet, then grab reservations at Perry’s steakhouse. The uptown location is our favorite, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Klyde Warren Park, it’s the perfect place to celebrate Dad! If you can squeeze a lunch in on Friday, their famous pork chop lunch is just $17 for a gigantic portion.
10. Experience Legacy West Food Hall and let him try a bit of everything, or book your tickets to enjoy their Blues Brunch
Legacy West Food Hall is perfect for any foodie in your life. The food hall has tons of options so you can try a bit of everything! Plus they have a huge screen in the back for sports with lots of picnic tables. They are also hosting a Father’s Day Blues Brunch over the weekend so dad can enjoy live music and brunch!
11. Throw some axes at Whiskey Hatchet
For the dads with kids over the age of 21, Whiskey Hatchet is the perfect Father’s Day activity! Bring mom and any siblings (over 21) too to throw some axes and see who will be named the best axe-thrower, because what’s a family event without some healthy competition? Stay for a while and order a cocktail, beer, wine or food!
12. Take a day Trip to Fort Worth and see the Stock Yards
Take dad on a mini day trip to Fort Worth! Hit the classics like the Fort Worth stockyards, or see if there are any concerts he's into at Billy Bobs. Looking for more? We have an entire Fort Worth page on instagram @fortworthlovelist you should check out too!
13. Buy him some time at Texas Card house
Reserve dad some time at the new Texas Card House for some poker! To get through the legal loopholes around gambling in Texas, you can pay a membership fee and then pay an hourly or daily rate for a seat at the table. It's also BYOB! Just make sure if he has pocket aces and wins big, he pays you a cut.
14. Take him fishing at the Sound
The Sound is a new area in Coppell with an amphitheater, shops, restaurants and even a dog park! Bring dad for a bite to eat and then enjoy fishing on their pond. It’s catch and release and perfect for a day out!
15. Get steaks to grill out at home from Cibo Divino
If dad prefers to be behind the grill, then grab some steaks from CiboDivino and let him pick out some of the finest. While you are there, grab a bottle of wine from their extensive collection. Plus they have tons of take home options for sides and desserts to complete the meal!
And all of these to the Love List!💕✨
